Description

"I wrote this pattern in 2015 during our participation at the Stitches show in Chicago.  This event was held at the Palmer House Hotel, where we were also staying.

I really liked the look and rich history of the Palmer House and since I designed this pattern there, that's what inspired the name of this pattern". - Louise Robert

IN ADDITION TO THE FREE KNITTING PATTERN, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL TO KNIT THE PALMER HOUSE SHAWL:

GAUGE: 12 sts = 10 cm garter stitch

FINAL SIZE (width x height) = 160 cm x 40 cm

This pattern is knitted in garter stitch and finished in ribbing, gradually increasing 4 stitches on every right side rows.  The increases in the center of the shawl are positioned to create an angle that distinguishes this pattern from traditional triangular shawls.

This free pattern is available as a PDF numeric file: add it to your cart and follow every steps to complete your order.  A link to download the pattern will be provided on the final screen and you will also get this link by email.

2023-07-02: Correction to the ribbed section of the center stitches.

Love the shape

I’m still working on it. So far, I’m loving how the shape is evolving. Looking forward to doing the border.

Excellent

Working on one of the patterns received from Biscotte. I’m an intermediate knitter and the pattern was very well done.

Lovel product. Should be enjoyed for generations.

It looks to be a nice pattern, with versatility as to what type of a yarn to use. A solid, hand dyed, or tweed. I haven't made it yet, but, I have some skeins that were bought, just because they were beautiful. Thought this might be a good pattern to use them.
